Hardys Bay MTB Ride - 13 Nov 2011

Shot from an earlier ride, not sure when, with Anne, Narelle and Merrilyn (82kb) Anne and Sue. Trust me, you don't want to get into an argument with these two! (95kb) Trevor and Ian (82kb) This could be Pearl Beach, going by the sign. This would be where Rod picked up a tick. (117kb) Mountain Bike ride 13 November. Bouddi Nat Park, with Box Head and Barrenjoey Head. (52kb) Ian and Anne join the group (75kb) Overlooking Putty Beach (65kb) Facial recognition (95kb)
This sandstone boulder is 100m above sea level, and is gradually turning back to sand, after probably millions of years. (100kb) The others went looking for a path down, but Danny stayed up the top taking photos. (104kb) So glad I didn't go down there! (72kb) Struggle, struggle! (101kb) Anne made it back first (120kb) Ian finds a way through the dead lantana while Roy and John come the short way (120kb) Found our own way down a big rocky cliff to the beach (75kb) Roy, Anne and Ian enjoy the water (54kb)
Roy Pons explored the rocky cliffs and found the way back (52kb) This huge section of the rockface fell down onto another rock, freezing its fall (84kb) A very pleasant track, but tricky for a road bike - Anne and Ian in the lowest gear (129kb) Roy C gets over a hard bit (136kb) This is the safest way down a sandy track (84kb) Near the end of the path, with nice terrazzo steps (114kb) Good brakes are important sometimes (118kb) Anne's unsuitable bike, thin tyres, no suspension, still did the job! (104kb)
