Welcome to you all!

The Toukley & District Cycle Club Inc was created to provide recreational cycling for the mature-age rider, our members ranging in age from the mid-forties to the eighties.
However, advanced age is not a prerequisite, and we welcome any bike rider seeking recreational cycling in a social and friendly environment.

Our bike rides cover the area from Ourimbah in the south, to Swansea in the north, and all of the eastern section of the Central Coast from the M1 Motorway to the sea.
This provides us with a wealth of rides, requiring very little duplication over a three-month period (the normal span of our ride calendar).

We are fortunate to have the cycle-conscious Central Coast Council, which has provided some of the best and most scenic cycle paths available within a relatively short drive from either Sydney or Newcastle.
Typical of these is a simple, easy, and scenic trip of about 25 kilometres around Budgewoi Lake, (one of the Tuggerah Lakes). Other rides take us further afield and range from 35 to 65 kms.
Our rides are checked for suitability and are graded either Easy or Medium. Most are on cycle-paths and sealed roads. Occasionally short stretches of gravel. We do not ride mountain tracks.
If you are hesitating because you only ride short distances now, please contact us for advice. We will help you start with rides that suit your level of fitness and ability. There are three separate ride groups on Wednesdays, Group 1 has the slightly longer and faster ride, Group 2 is an easier ride with more stops, and Group 3 is even easier, and the Coasters on Fridays also aim for an easy social ride.
On Wednesdays, Group 1 starts at 8.30am, and Groups 2 and 3 arrive by 8.45am for a 9.00am start at the Volunteer Coast Guard car park, Peel Street, Toukley, UBD map ref 42 D9, also known as Osborne Park. Most rides see us back to base before 1.00pm. We look forward to meeting and riding with you. Occasionally rides are scheduled at an 'away' venue, such as Gosford, Tarro or Heatherbrae for variety, and are reached by car or train.
On Fridays we have two unprogrammed rides, one for social riding, the Coasters, and one for the serious fitter rider, the Skylarkers. The Coasters and the Skylarkers leave from Jenny Dixon Reserve, corner Bungary Road and Park Street, Norah Head, the Skylarkers at 8.30am, and the Coasters at 9.00am. More information is on the Ride Reports page.
Please note that Toukley & District Cycle Club Inc has restrictions on the use of motorised bicycles (no 2-strokes). Electric bikes are permitted.
